Marquise cut peridot set in a butterfly made of solid yellow gold. The delicate butterfly has shaped wings to give it a more organic look. The pattern within the wings has an elliptical shape to mirror the marquise stones set within its body adding to the symmetry and elegance of their design. Butterflies are used to represent many things. They are without doubt a thing of great beauty after emergence from a cocoon.
The Pendant has been hallmarked at Birmingham assay and stamped with the Ojewellery makers mark OJ, 375 for 9ct gold and an anchor - the Birmingham assay mark.
The sapphires are one round and two marquise cut and they meassure 4x2 and the round meassures 2mm making an approximate carat weight of 0.31ct.
