ojewellery

A love of jewellery grew into a business in October 2016.  Looking for an anniversary present I over purchased a selection of beautiful jewellery, keeping a few pieces for myself and selling on the remainder.

The pleasure from winding away hours sourcing individual pieces, talking to designers, suppliers, designing packaging, chatting with customers and jewellery buying enthusiasts organically grew (with a phenomenal learning curve and hard work of mastering data management, legislation, tax implications, VAT registration etc)

Ojewellery has grown into a full time business and remains an online only retailer initially trading on eBay in 2016 and then Amazon in 2017. My Autumn 2018 collection launches on its own website - whilst maintaining select offerings on eBay and Amazon.

Online retail takes away the convention of Mon- Fri 9-5 working and balances well with being a working mum of three.  I can juggle my youngest's school runs with my eldest's appointments and still be available by the wonders of modern technology across the conventional work day, evenings and weekends.

Ojewellery.co.uk means I offer customers a boutique service with the ability to vary the products listed for example I can swap pendant chains for longer or shorter options.

Through my love of packaging I've designed my own plush black slim postal range of boxes developed to fit through even the narrowest letter box so there is no need to be visiting the sorting office to collect your item.  The thickness of the deep velvet jewellery pad and velvet lined top have been developed to avoid pendants and chains dancing in the post so items arrive untangled and ready to wear. All items are also supplied with a ribbon wrap to add that special little touch we all deserve when treating ourselves.

Jewellery is such a lovely product to work with.  OJewellery, give me a fascinating glimpse into so many lives, through exchanged messages, with so many wonderful thoughtful people.

I'm always touched by the romantic lengths people go to and the special effort that people make to indulge a loved one, friend or colleague.

May caring for one another ever continue,

Lindsay
