Daffodils! They're a sure sign that spring is finally springing here in the UK. You can't miss them – bobbing their bright yellow heads in lawns out hedgerows.

These little sunshine-coloured flowers aren't just pretty, though. They're the first real splash of colour after a long, grey winter. Seeing them pop up everywhere fills everyone with a sense of hope and optimism – a reminder that warmer days and longer evenings are just around the corner.
